Curie

This is the last of the series. Bear with me here.

Curie has been getting around for several weeks now; she's is right on the verge of really crawling. She seems to get a new tooth every day lately. At less than 8 months old, she already has 7 teeth! She is mild, happy, and attentive. She has been babbling "da da da" for a while now, but I'm not yet convinced that she associates that sound with Nick. She does, however, call me "meh-meh" but generally only calling to me as I leave the room. It's still rare.

Like her siblings before her, she is an excellent sleeper. She lights up when she sees Rigby and Bethelle. Rigby often says, "I want to play cars with Lu-lu Bug" (his name for her).

Oh, and she's Bethelle all over again. These two could have been identical twins, except for the eye color.

I'm very torn on which picture is best...

Rigby

I've been thinking lately about what a boy Rigby is. He's always been into trucks, trains, airplanes, cranes, etc., but lately he has been really behaving like a boy. Bethelle likes to please, entertain, and be adored where Rigby likes to explore, make noise, and test limits. "If I touch Curie softly, nothing happens. What if I push a little hard? And a little harder still?" until SMACK, Curie's down. We're working on this.

Today, he chose to climb up on the desk in his room and jump off. This bought him an x-ray and a Sunday without church. He's going to be fine, but for now he won't put any weight on his right leg. I have 2 helpless babies to carry everywhere for a few days. At least he's not heavy.

Bethelle

Bethelle is really crossing the line lately between trying to help and actually helping. She folds laundry, empties the silverware tray, and yesterday she brought all the groceries in from the car while I fed Curie. Thank you, Bethelle! You're such a great leader and example!

Juh-NAY!!

Just before the move (yeah, just before... right after the big birthday party... which I'll have to blog later) my dear, dear Janae came to see me, camera in hand.

We Are Still Alive

A friend once said that when someone hasn't posted to their blog for an unusual length of time, that person is generally pregnant.

Well...

We're not!

Posting also wanes when packing, moving, and unpacking. We seem to do this frequently lately. And we're not planning to stay here very long either.

But here we are, moved, unpacked, and ready to blog again.
