Decorating My, I Mean, Her Dollhouse, part 1

Remember the dollhouse Bethelle (and Curie, technically) received for Christmas? I am in decorating mode and loving it. First, we did the roof:

We're doing a pink theme, so we started with 12" x 12" glitter scrapbook cardstock. It's a great time of year to find all things pink in craft stores, so we were in luck. I also considered sand paper, but some of it is so thin, I would have had to glue it to cardstock first for the look I wanted, plus I really wanted pink or white.
I then drew the following on the back:
Bethelle did a great job cutting all the strips... 4 sheets of them! I cut the short lines out in little wedges:
To make the cuts show, I used a light pink paint pen along the edges. It then took an entire tube of "everything glue" to do the two sides of the roof.
I love how it turned out!

Bethelle loves projects. She gets it from me.
