Santa Cruz II

This is my final Cali post, really!

Just before leaving for home, I took the kids one last time to Santa Cruz.  We met up with my sis-in-law, Holly, and her little Charlotte.  This time, we spent most of the day on the beach.

Ocean frolicking!

That Curie of mine grins with every tooth.

At one point, Curie misjudged just how far onto the otherwise dry sand a wave can really come.  No worries, there were three moms there to catch her (including me) just as the wave nearly knocked her down.  Good thing I brought a couple changes of clothes.
Holly is several months pregnant and wasn't sure if she would make it at first, but we were so glad that they braved the adventure with us.
Nick doesn't get this picture, but I love it.
On our way to catch a couple rides, we saw Cirque Polynesian practicing their show.  Some costumes and lighting were missing, but you can't beat free!
Charlotte waited so beautifully for the rides.
We opted for just the merry-go-round...
... and the race cars.  Curie saw other kids putting their hands up for the fast part and did not want to be left out.
Most excessively fun days wrap-up with ice cream.  If you're lucky, you get to choose your color.
All in all, a lucky day.
